The lunar eclipse of August 5th (or 6th depending on your part of the world) is the third eclipse in this mid-year, summer eclipse trio. It is a penumbral lunar eclipse, meaning only a small part of the moon will be affected and barely observable. What can be seen will be observable in Africa and parts of South America.
However, folks at the Quantumcafe are mostly interested in the energetic or emotional effects of the eclipse. As sensitive people who feel certain stresses along with the eclipse, the timing becomes an important observable part of the experience, regardless of visual observations. The time of the greatest eclipse, or peak eclipse is 0:39 UTC on August 6th. That converts to 5:39 PM MST August 5th here in Arizona. That is 9:39 PM EDT (New York).
Are you experiencing some intensified emotions or energy during this time? If so, please leave a comment to share your experience with others.
